Editorial and Research Policy

A KnolTok lens should let a reader see what came from the source, what came from the author, and what remains uncertain.

Source before lens

Each lens begins with an identified source and a specific reader question. Material factual claims should connect to inspectable sources. Edition specific details are checked against the edition used when they affect the interpretation.

Interpretation stays visible

A lens is an interpretation, not a neutral substitute for the original work. Personal experience, inference, disagreement, and uncertainty are named where they matter. Quotations and page references are not invented or silently transferred between editions.

Authorship and AI assistance

The author owns the thesis, personal experience, interpretation, and conclusions attributed to them. AI may assist with research, organization, comparison, or editing. Its role is disclosed, and its output is not treated as evidence. Publication requires human review of the exact lens.

Status and revision

A review label means the lens is still being checked. A published lens records its review date and material revisions. New evidence may correct, narrow, or change a lens. Revision history exists so that change remains visible.

Corrections

Corrections are evaluated against the source and the claim in question. Material corrections should update the lens and its revision history. To report an issue, use the contact details published at uv.bio.
