KnolTok uses a small technical and editorial system so the lenses can remain clear, inspectable, and maintainable.

Publishing

The site is generated with Astro, maintained in Git, and served through Cloudflare. Lenses are written as structured Markdown. This keeps the reading experience fast while preserving reviewable changes and revision history.

Design

The visual system uses the approved KnolTok identity, a restrained palette, and a narrow reading measure. The interface favors hierarchy and legibility over ornamental effects.

Typography

Headings use the reader's available Iowan Old Style, Palatino, Book Antiqua, or Georgia. Interface and body text use Arial or a compatible sans serif. No web font is required to read the site.

Sources and covers

Source links remain attached to each lens. Book covers may be supplied by Open Library and link to the corresponding edition record. A cover identifies the edition under discussion. It does not imply endorsement by the author or publisher.

Maintenance

KnolTok is created and maintained by Utpal Vaishnav. The method and policies may change as the library grows. Material editorial changes should remain visible through dated policy versions or lens revision histories.
